A simple guide and somewhat discussion thread for the Kagerou and Oboro Class.

"Many ages ago, there was a powerful clan of shadow warriors who served the Lord of Amatsu. Content to be the right hand to the feudal warlord, they were known as the Ninja-silent assassins who excelled in weapon and magical arts.

In time, the Lord of Amatsu grew to mistrust their growing power and influence, and they were forced to retreat to the shadows they held so dear. These Ninja passed into the realm of legend, a fairy tale told to frighten small children.

Just recently the descendants of the original Ninja have returned to assist in the battle against the forces of evil in Rune Midgards, and have been gathering recruits to pass on their ancient techniques.

Until now, there have been no men or women strong enough in body and spirit to learn the most secret Ninja arts, those developed by the founding members of the clan so long ago."

• For those who are not aware. Kagerou is the male counterpart, while Oboro would be the female one.
• Both Kagerou and Oboro have skills only exclusive to them.
• JOB 50 Stat Bonuses: 7 STR, 6 AGI, 4 VIT, 6 INT, 8 DEX, 4 LUK

• Class Builds •


Build 1 - Kunai/Debuff

Description - Mainly this build will set up iron spikes at the entrance of castels to immobleize players much like Extreme Vacume. They will also make use of zenkai which when equiped with a water based weapon can freeze people who are carded with marc at a 20% chance (unless I'm wrong on this). they will also use Happo Kunai to assist in precast with moderate damage 7x7 aoe. Nothing special but a nice debuff precast help build, though it would be wise to drop the kunai in favor of getting Jyusatsu (removes soul links)

Stats - I didn't really do a stat build for this since its sorta subpar imo


Build 2 - Debuff/Killing Strike

Description - This build has the same debuffs as the previous but no iron spikes, instead this build favors dealing damage through Happo Kunai, as well as Killing Strike. Would mostly be employed for stritigic (sp I can't spell I know lol) kills, such as remove a pesky sorcerer, or take out the strings of an enemy precast, this would allow the sura's to focus on taking out AB's or the damage dealers of an opposing precast. Best part of this Build I had 16 left over skill points so it may become even more useful but I'm gonna review the skills more before I make my decision.

(you'll have some stat points remaining use them as you see fit)
Mainly you buff int and dex for cast times, and vit for hp as well as KS damage, Str adds to KS's damage as well.


Build 3 - Mucha Nage

Description - This build is similar to the former as in it is a killer build. Instead of focusing on KS (which the skill will still be learned) The oboro will focus more on MN skill, which deals 50~100k damage on average (before damage modifiers) This build most likely be used to oneshot various targets on teh field, and unlike the KS build when using MN the hp won't automatically drop to 1 making MN a spamable skill. It'll be very similar to HSCR of white smiths, These Oboro would also serve as breakers due to their high aspd.

Stat Build -

Str - 80
Agi - 120
Vit - 100
Int - 22
Dex - 1
Luk - 70
Since MN is aspd based agi is your best friend much like with assassins or HSCR smiths, I'm still not sure if its affected by base atk so for now I added str and luk, Int is for more sp. This build will also get moderate damage from KS as well. Though if str doesn't play a role the build should look more like as follows

Str - 1~6
Agi - 120
Vit - 100
Int - 80
Dex - 75
Luk - 1~6

mildly similar to a DB rk other then the fact that AGI is the base stat. Though with that stat build I would suggest dropping KS and other attack skills and picking up most of the debuff skills as well.

Description: Allows the caster to hide similar to Hiding skill. If this skill is used again or caster's SP reaches 0, it will cancel the effect. Drains certain amount of SP every few seconds.

Right Hand Training
Max Level: 5 (Passive)
Pre-req: None
Description: Reduces the right-hand penalty when dual wielding. At level 4 and 5, right-hand penalty is neutralized and the damage done increased.
Level 1: 80% ATK
Level 2: 90% ATK
Level 3: 100% ATK
Level 4: 110% ATK
Level 5: 120% ATK

Left Hand Training
Max Level: 5 (Passive)
Pre-req: None
Description: Reduces the left-hand ATK penalty when dual wielding.
Level 1: 60% ATK
Level 2: 70% ATK
Level 3: 80% ATK
Level 4: 90% ATK
Level 5: 100% ATK

Jyumon Jikiri
Max Level: 5
Pre-req: Yamikumo Level 1
Description: Joint-attack skill for Kagerou & Oboro. This skill leaves <Cross Wound> debuff on the target for 3 seconds after dealing damage. This skill deals additional damage on targets inflicted with <Cross Wound> debuff. Higher caster's base level increases the damage done.
Level 1: 150% ATK / 3 cell cast range
Level 2: 300% ATK / 4 cell cast range
Level 3: 450% ATK / 5 cell cast range
Level 4: 600% ATK / 6 cell cast range
Level 5: 750% ATK / 7 cell cast range

Setsudan
Max Level: 5
Pre-req: Jyumon Jikiri Level 2
Description: If target is under the effect of [Soul Link] buff, this skill deals additional damage and removes the buff from the target. Higher levels of Soul Link buff active on the target increases the damage done.
Level 1: 100% ATK
Level 2: 200% ATK
Level 3: 300% ATK
Level 4: 400% ATK
Level 5: 500% ATK

Bakuretsu
Max Level: 5
Pre-req: Throw Kunai Level 5
Description: Throws an explosive kunai, dealing damage to all targets in range. Caster must have in possession of 1 Explosive Kunai in inventory and it consumes 1 Explosive Kunai on skill use. (Explosive Kunai cannot be equipped)
Level 1: 3x3 AoE / 7 cell cast range
Level 2: 3x3 AoE / 8 cell cast range
Level 3: 3x3 AoE / 9 cell cast range
Level 4: 3x3 AoE / 10 cell cast range
Level 5: 3x3 AoE / 11 cell cast range

Happo Kunai
Max Level: 5
Pre-req: Bakuretsu Level 1
Description: Throws multiple kunais in all directions, dealing damage to all targets in range. Consumes 8 equipped Kunais.

Mucha Nage

Pre-req: Makibishi Level 3
Description: Powered up version of Ninja skill: [Throw Coins]. Throws up to 100,000 zeny to deal DEF piercing, random splash damage to all targets in range. Deals half damage to Boss monsters.
Level 1: 10,000 Zeny / 5,000 ~ 10,000 Random Damage
Level 2: 20,000 Zeny / 10,000 ~ 20,000 Random Damage
Level 3: 30,000 Zeny / 15,000 ~ 30,000 Random Damage
Level 4: 40,000 Zeny / 20,000 ~ 40,000 Random Damage

Description: Throws Huuma Shuriken, dealing damage to all targets in 7x7 cell range. Higher levels of Ninja skill: [Throw Huuma Shuriken] learned by the caster (crossed out because it's redundant; you need to have learned max level of Throw Huuma Shuriken to get this skill), higher caster's level and DEX/AGI increases the damage done.
Level 1: 150% ATK / 9 cell cast range
Level 2: 300% ATK / 10 cell cast range
Level 3: 450% ATK / 11 cell cast range
Level 4: 600% ATK / 12 cell cast range
Level 5: 750% ATK / 13 cell cast range

Makibishi
Max Level: 5
Pre-req: Throw Coins Level 1
Description: Throws extremely sharp caltrops near the caster, immobilizing or stunning target(s) that step on it. This skill can be used while moving at higher skill level. Higher skill level increases the amount of caltrops dropped on cast.
Level 1: 3 Caltrops
Level 2: 4 Caltrops
Level 3: 5 Caltrops
Level 4: 6 Caltrops
Level 5: 7 Caltrops

Meikyousisui
Max Level: 5
Pre-req: Ninja Mastery Level 10
Description: Concentrates for 10 seconds, rapidly recovering HP and SP. Caster is immobilized while under the skill effect. During the skill duration, caster has a certain chance to avoid damage taken from attacks.
Level 1: 2% HP, 1% SP per second
Level 2: 4% HP, 2% SP per second
Level 3: 6% HP, 3% SP per second
Level 4: 8% HP, 4% SP per second
Level 5: 10% HP, 5% SP per second

Zanzou
Max Level: 5
Pre-req: Cicada Skin Shed Level 1
Description: Caster creates a clone of self using
genjutsu. Clone has a certain amount of HP and disappears when its HP reaches 0. Higher caster's Max SP increases the clone's Max HP.
Level 1: 6000 HP
Level 2: 9000 HP
Level 3: 12000 HP
Level 4: 15000 HP
Level 5: 18000 HP

Kyougaku
Max Level: 5
Pre-req: Genwaku Level 2
Description: Reduces a target's stats and forcibly changes target's appearance to a monster. Target under the effect of Kyougaku will be unable to un-equip or switch equipments for the duration of the skill. This skill cannot be used on friendly targets. This skill can only be used in Siege maps.
Level 1: - 2~3 All stat
Level 2: - 4~6 All stat
Level 3: - 6~9 All stat
Level 4: - 8~12 All stat
Level 5: - 10~15 All stat

Jyusatsu
Max Level: 5
Pre-req: Kyougaku Level 3
Description: Reduces a target's HP and inflicts Curse status. At a low chance, causes [Coma] status on the target if it's equal or lower than caster's base level. Cannot be used on monsters.

Genwaku
Max Level: 5
Pre-req: Cicada Skin Shed Level 1
Description: Switches position with the target. Both the caster and target have a chance of being inflicted with [Chaos] status.

Izayoi
Max Level: 5
Pre-req: Ninja Mastery Level 5
Description: Removes Fixed cast time of all skills and reduces Variable cast time in half. Increases caster's MATK.

Kahu Enten
Max Level: 1
Pre-req: None
Description: Summons fire aura using Fire Talisman, boosting Fire-type ninja skills. Can summon up to 10 auras, and summoning 10 Fire auras will endow the caster's weapon with Fire element. Consumes 1 Fire Talisman.

Hyouhu Hubuki
Max Level: 1
Pre-req: None
Description: Summons water aura using Ice Talisman, boosting Water-type ninja skills. Can summon up to 10 auras, and summoning 10 Water auras will endow the caster's weapon with Water element. Consumes 1 Water Talisman.

Kazehu Seiran
Max Level: 1
Pre-req: None
Description: Summons wind aura using Wind Talisman, boosting Wind-type ninja skills. Can summon up to 10 auras, and summoning 10 Wind auras will endow the caster's weapon with Wind element. Consumes 1 Wind Talisman.

Dohu Koukai
Max Level: 1
Pre-req: None
Description: Summons earth aura using Earth Talisman, boosting caster's ATK and DEF. Can summon up to 10 auras, and summoning 10 Earth auras will endow the caster's weapon with Earth element. Consumes 1 Earth Talisman.

Kaihou

Pre-req: Kahu Enten Level 1, Hyouhu Hubuki Level 1, Kazehu Seiran Level 1, Dohu Koukai Level 1
Description: Releases all summoned auras on a target to deal damage. Damage element depends on the summoned auras.

Zenkai
Max Level: 1
Pre-req: Kaihou Level 1, Izayoi Level 1
Description: Expands summoned auras on the ground, creating a barrier to inflict various status effect on targets.

[Fire Aura] Inflicts Burning status on all enemies in AoE and increases ATK of all targets equipped with Fire-element weapons.

[Water Aura] Inflicts one of Frozen / Crystallization / Freezing status effect on all enemies in AoE and increases ATK of all targets equipped with Water-element weapons.

[Wind Aura] Inflicts one of Silence / Sleep / Deep Sleep status effect on all enemies in AoE and increases ATK of all targets equipped with Wind-element weapons.

[Earth Aura] Inflicts one of Petrification / Poison status effect on all enemies in AoE and increases ATK of all targets equipped with Earth-element weapons.

Kagehumi Kagerou Exclusive

Pre-req: Zanzou Level 1
Description: Immobilizes and detects all hidden targets in range.
Level 1: 5x5 AoE
Level 2: 7x7 AoE
Level 3: 9x9 AoE
Level 4: 11x11 AoE

Kyomu Kagerou Exclusive
Max Level: 5
Pre-req: Kagehumi Level 2
Description: Disables target's ability to reflect damage for the skill duration. Targets under the effect of this skill have a chance of having their skill fail to activate. Consumes 1 Shadow Orb.
Level 1: 10 second duration
Level 2: 15 second duration
Level 3: 20 second duration
Level 4: 25 second duration
Level 5: 30 second duration

Kagemusya Kagerou Exclusive

Description: Allows a target the use of [Double Attack] skill for the the duration. Target under the effect of this skill will lose 1 SP every second. Consumes 1 Shadow Orb.

Zangetsu Oboro Exclusive

Description: Changes target's ATK or MATK based on target's current HP and SP.

Akaitsuki Oboro Exclusive
Max Level: 5
Pre-req: Zangetsu Level 2
Description: Certain healing skills cast on the target affected by this skill will be damaged instead of being healed. This skill can only be used on monsters in field maps and enemy players in pvp/siege maps. Cannot be used on boss monsters.
Level 1: 10 seconds
Level 2: 15 seconds
Level 3: 20 seconds
Level 4: 25 seconds
Level 5: 30 seconds

Oboro Gensou Oboro Exclusive
Max Level: 5
Pre-req: Akaitsuki Level 3
Description: Randomly increases or decreases a target's HP and SP based on target's current HP and SP. Damage taken by the target, under the effect of this skill, will be deflected to other targets in range. Cannot be used on monsters

Crescent Moon Inscribed Armguard [1]
Armguard inscribed with crescent moon symbol that makes the wearer feel magically empowered.

Makibishi
Sharp, metal spike that causes considerable pain when stepped on. Mainly used as an emergency tool to hinder chasing enemies.

Fire Talisman
Ninjas are commonly seen carrying around these talisman for protection. Advanced ninjas can use the talisman to perform various magic skills.

Ice Talisman
Ninjas are commonly seen carrying around these talisman for protection. Advanced ninjas can use the talisman to perform various magic skills.

Wind Talisman

Dagger with its name meaning crescent moon. This weapon is imbued with the light from Crescent Moon, empowering the wearer with magic powers.

Newly created product from Ninja Association. This weapon is created with special material that prevents moonlight from reflecting from the weapon.

Special Alloy Armor [1]
Created to protect High Ranking ninjas from assassination. This armor specializes in Melee combat.

If worn with Crescent Moon inscribed Armguard, Perfect Dodge +10, Flee +10.
